Police Officer is the person who protects the community by maintaining the law. Police make sure that nobody violates the rules and regulations of society. Police officers have all the training to tackle any kind of emergency situation and try their best to minimize the danger. Police officers have the basic responsibility of serving the people in the community. To become a professional police officer, they need a relevant education and training to do their job effectively.

Here are some of the major responsibilities that a police officer have:

Protect the People

The main responsibility a police officer have towards his community is protecting the people of his society. He should be able to work hard to make people safe and secure in the community. Police officers’ job includes dealing with different situations and incidents and they have to serve people by making sure that they are safe. A Police officer should be very responsive and alert at his duty because he can only help people by doing his job on time. The best approach is to eliminate the potential danger by anticipating the situation and stopping it from happing.

Investigate the Crimes

The other responsibility a police officer has is investigating the crimes. Almost every society faces the problem of criminal activities. A police officer tries to minimize these activities by taking control of these situations. He should investigate the criminal activities and make sure that the criminals get the punishment according to their crimes. He should set an example out of these activities and control the criminal activities.

Respond Immediately In the Time of Need

People call police in case of an emergency or in the time of need. A police officer’s job is to respond the request immediately and reach the place as soon as possible. There are some cases which involve major criminal activities or incidents and in these cases, every second count. So the duty of a police officer is to be alert all the time while he is on duty and make sure to reach the incident place as soon as possible. The efficiency and quick response of a police officer can save people from a bigger danger and harm.

These are some of the basic responsibilities that a police officer has towards his community people and makes sure to maintain the peace in society.
